Cardiovascular Operating Room - CVOR RN - Travel Nurse (York, PA) TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in York, Pennsylvania. The right RN should have 1-2 years recent acute care experience. Job Details Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 hours Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after a surgical procedure. Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation. Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings and monitor vital signs. Assist physician during procedures. Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique. Coordinate the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies. Ensure the proper handling of specimens. Physical & Other Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. Must be able to lift 20 pounds easily; may need to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must cope with a fast paced environment and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds. Qualifications ACLS certification BLS certification 2 years of recent acute care experience Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Compensation & Benefits Pay package based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax free stipend amount to be determined.
