Overview
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (L&D) - Rochester, NY, United States. Travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. Start date: 06/08/2026. Contract length: 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide direct maternity and newborn care across labor, delivery, and postpartum periods; perform routine and complex nursing assessments.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, manage labor progression, administer medications, and respond to emergent situations per protocol.
- Deliver education and support to mother-baby dyads on breastfeeding, neonatal care, safety, and postpartum recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, social workers, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Adhere to evidence-based practices, ensure patient safety, infection control, and accurate documentation in the charting system.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- Minimum two (2) years of postpartum/L&D experience
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Fetal monitoring certification preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible day/evening/night rotations, including weekends and holidays
