Registered NurseLocation: Float PoolSchedule: Per DiemPosition Summary:Med/Surge Float RNs provide 24/7 clinical excellence for med/surge areas. Nurses must be flexible and versatile. The Float Pool provides a clinical overview that is unparalleled in any other med/surge area.Job Responsibilities:Deliver nursing care in the Medical Surgical, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patientsCommunicate with various health care team members, patients, and their familiesCoordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleaguesUpdate and manage patient recordsEnter and interpret computerized data/informationAssist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projectsJob Requirements:Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.1+ years of RN experience preferredCertification in basic life support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) completed during orientation.PCC Certification required within 1 year of hire which is offered by the hospital.Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 yearsRelevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areasEffective verbal and written communication skillsPhysical ability to meet job responsibilitiesBasic computer proficiencyFluency in another language a plusCompensation Range:$39.80- $93.69This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
