Human Resources GeneralistThe Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across the organization, serving as a key partner to both field and office employees. This role provides hands-on support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, and HR systems management.The position requires a proactive, solutions-oriented HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-location, operations-driven environment. The HR Generalist plays a critical role in supporting a workforce that includes skilled labor, route-based field employees, and administrative staff, ensuring consistency, compliance, and a strong employee experience.Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & OnboardingManage job postings, applicant tracking, interview coordination, and background screeningCoordinate onboarding and orientation for both field and office employeesEnsure completion and accuracy of pre-employment documentation (I-9, E-Verify, etc.)Employee Relations & SupportServe as a primary HR resource for employees and managers regarding policies and proceduresSupport employee relations matters including investigations, complaints, and performance issuesPartner with managers to provide coaching and guidance on employee managementHR Compliance & RecordkeepingMaintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel filesEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsTrack certifications, training, and licensing requirements for field employeesBenefits & Leave AdministrationSupport employee benefits education, enrollment, and changesAdminister leave programs including FMLA, workers' compensation, and disabilityCoordinate with payroll and third-party providers to ensure accuracy of deductions and trackingHR Systems & Process SupportMaintain and update HRIS systems and generate HR reports as neededSupport audits, compliance reviews, and internal reporting requirementsContribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and workflowsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred4+ years of HR experience requiredExperience in construction, trades, industrial services, or multi-location operations strongly preferredStrong understanding of employment law and HR best practicesExperience with HRIS platforms (Paycom or similar a plus)Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skillsKey CompetenciesEmployee-focused communication and relationship managementMulti-state compliance knowledgeField and office workforce support capabilityStrong attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracyDiscretion and confidentialityAdaptability in fast-paced, operational environmentsPhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting and working on a computerOccasional travel to field locations, job sites, or training sessionsWork Environment & TravelOffice-based role with occasional field visitsFast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines and shifting prioritiesInteraction with both field operations and administrative leadershipCompensation: Not specified
