Senior QC Analytical Scientist - 2nd Shift Group Leader

Eurofins PSS seeks a Senior QC Analytical Scientist to lead a team of 3-5 chemists in GMP testing of pharmaceutical samples on a second-shift schedule. The role combines hands-on analytical work with team leadership, method transfers, and investigation support for a contract testing laboratory in Albany, NY.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and review pharmaceutical testing using approved methods and compendial requirements
• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3-5 analytical chemists
• Support method transfers, qualifications, and investigations of out-of-specification results
• Manage reference standards, elemental impurities, and residual solvent testing
• Serve as primary contact for client and internal stakeholder communication

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 5+ years GMP/GLP testing experience, or MS with 3+ years experience
• 3+ years industry experience with Liquid Chromatography, Conductivity, and Titration techniques
• Proficiency with at least two of: NMR, GC, ICP-OES, IR, RI, UV-Vis, or TGA
• Knowledge of GMPs, ICH guidelines, and 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211
• 1+ years of prior leadership or team management experience
• 2+ years of successful leadership experience (preferred)

Compensation: $41.00-$46.25 per hour based on education, leadership experience, and industry background
