Business Unit Manager

Are you an operational leader who thrives on driving world-class manufacturing performance? We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on Business Unit Manager to lead our manufacturing operations, champion lean initiatives, and optimize plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Operational Leadership: Direct day-to-day manufacturing teams, establishing stable production schedules, optimized labor requirements, and efficient material flows.

• Financial & Budgetary Oversight: Manage department budgets, control material, labor, and overhead costs, and execute financial strategies that boost overall plant profitability.

• Continuous Improvement & Lean Culture: Champion lean manufacturing philosophies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, improve functional capabilities, and lower daily operational costs.

• New Product Launches: Collaborate closely with New Product Development (NPD) teams to seamlessly transition new programs into full-scale production.

• Team & Safety Management: Build and mentor high-performing manufacturing teams through participative management while ensuring full compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

salary: $130,000 - $140,000 per year

Responsibilities

1. Directs and coordinates all activities within the assigned area to execute a production plan that ensures
operations meet quality, cost, delivery, and safety goals. Manages financial aspects of operations and
understands the effect on financial performance.
2. Provides strategic leadership and technical expertise to the organization. Initiates and recommends
purchase of new equipment. Maintains conformance to budget limitations.
3. Effectively balances needs of production with new product introduction. Coordinates manufacturing,
product development and procurement resources to assure that labor, material and support services
needs are known and attained sufficient to execute the sales plan.
1. Plans, develops, directs, implements, and maintains plant strategies and objectives. Develops moderate
to long-term goals and translates them into short-term plans. Researches and recommends new
processes, systems, policies, and procedures to pursue in the future.
2. Champions the introduction of improved business/manufacturing methods while driving continuous
improvement and waste elimination activities within focus team. Must reduce cost of daily operations.
