Associate Attorney

A well-established Midwest insurance defense firm is seeking litigation associates to join its Merrillville office, with a primary focus on general liability and transportation litigation . We're seeking attorneys with 1–10 years of civil litigation experience . The firm moves efficiently and is typically able to take candidates from initial conversation to decision within approximately two weeks. Practice Focus General liability Responsibilities Draft pleadings, motions and written discovery Conduct legal research and motion practice Take and defend depositions (experience dependent) Attend hearings, mediations and court appearances Communicate directly with clients and insurance carriers Participate in trial preparation and litigation strategy Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school 1–10 years of litigation experience Strong legal writing and analytical skills Insurance defense experience is a plus but not required Why This Role Broad litigation practice with excellent variety Direct mentorship from experienced trial attorneys Early courtroom exposure Manageable caseloads (generally 30–40 active matters) Unlimited PTO Profit sharing and performance bonuses Compensation Approximately $100,000–150,000+, depending on experience, plus production-based bonus opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Stone Legal Recruitment
