Data Center Lead

Job Description Insight Global is seeking Lead Data Center Technicians to support large-scale data center operations, deployments, and critical infrastructure projects throughout Canada. These individuals will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting network, server, and data center infrastructure in live production environments. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, including Level 2 support experience, to diagnose and resolve hardware, connectivity, and network-related issues. Technicians will support rack and stack deployments, structured cabling systems, server installations, network connectivity, and incident response activities within enterprise-scale data centers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fiber and copper cabling, network infrastructure, hardware installation, and data center operations. Candidates should be comfortable troubleshooting servers, switches, network connectivity, physical layer infrastructure, and other critical systems while maintaining uptime and adhering to operational standards. Lead Technicians will provide technical leadership, mentor junior technicians, coordinate project execution, and serve as escalation points for complex troubleshooting efforts. Successful candidates will possess a strong understanding of physical and logical network infrastructure, including fiber optic systems, structured cabling, servers, switches, routers, cabinets, and connectivity protocols. They should be able to interpret technical documentation, follow installation standards, and effectively troubleshoot issues in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
