Senior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is primarily responsible for preparing and posting journal entries, completing general ledger account reconciliations, resolving reconciling items, and supporting the monthly financial close process. The Senior Accountant will also assist with financial reporting, audit requests, special projects, and follow-up activities related to unclaimed property. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. About the Role The Senior Accountant will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting processes. Responsibilities Prepare and post monthly journal entries. Perform cash and non-cash general ledger account reconciliations, including researching and resolving reconciling items. Complete assigned month-end close activities, including accruals and other accounting processes. Assist with the follow-up and resolution of unclaimed property items. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen accounting processes. Respond to internal and external audit requests by providing supporting documentation and analysis. Assist with financial reporting, special projects, and other accounting initiatives as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Minimum of 5 years of successful experience in an accounting or audit function. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Required Skills Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Commitment to continuous process improvement and operational efficiency. Preferred Skills CPA designation or CPA eligibility. Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS) General Ledger. Experience using BlackLine reconciliation software.
