CAO’s key services include customized recruitment, new contract or large-scale hiring support, and contingent staffing through its Academy Staffers program.\nRole Description This is a full-time, on-site CDL A Truck Driver role located in Irvington, NJ. The CDL A Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials to and from designated locations, following assigned routes and schedules. Daily tasks include conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing loads, maintaining accurate delivery and log records, and adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies. The driver will communicate with dispatch and warehouse teams, report any vehicle or route issues promptly, and provide professional customer service during pick-ups and deliveries. The role may also involve assisting with loading and unloading, maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, and supporting other logistics activities as needed.\nQualifications\n\n Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial driving safety practices.\n Experience in local or regional truck driving, including route navigation, time management, and adherence to delivery schedules.\n Ability to perform vehicle inspections, basic troubleshooting, and report maintenance needs accurately.\n Physical ability to handle loading and unloading tasks, including lifting, moving, and securing freight as required.\n Reliable communication skills for interacting with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers in a professional manner.\n Strong attention to detail for completing logs, delivery documentation, and compliance-related paperwork.\n High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience working in or around airport or logistics environments is a plus.\n Willingness to work assigned shifts, including possible early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays based on operational needs.\n
