Solid Organ Transplant Physician Liaison - Nashville, TN - 75% travel

Overview The Solid Organ Transplant Physician Liaison is a highly autonomous, relationship‑driven professional responsible for driving referral growth and strengthening partnerships across VUMC’s transplant service lines (liver, kidney, heart, and lung). This remote, field‑based position requires significant travel and a high degree of flexibility in scheduling and daily planning. Responsibilities Promote VUMC transplant services to physicians in the primary referral area. Contact physicians to assess their needs, ensure they are being met, and provide feedback to VUMC departments. Provide information on VUMC services, including physician‑to‑physician relationships and new products or services. Effectively manage community relationships to include education, brand image maintenance, customer service, and timely communication of opportunities. Establish and maintain ongoing communications with referring clinicians and their office staff through routine visits, emails, and phone calls. Collect and evaluate physician referral data, generate reports, and assess changes in referral patterns. Participate in the development and implementation of outreach, relationship‑building, and marketing plans to support VUMC strategy. Assist with developing educational, informational, and marketing materials. Facilitate referrals and advocate for initiatives that improve referral processes. Perform service recovery and follow‑up efforts based on customer feedback. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Minimum of 3+ years of solid organ transplant experience or clinical background with exposure to relevant specialties. Medical sales and/or physician liaison experience strongly preferred. Registered Nurse (RN) background highly valued. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently with a flexible, self‑directed schedule. Proven relationship‑building and stakeholder engagement skills. Effective presentation and communication abilities. Data‑driven mindset with experience analyzing referral patterns and developing growth strategies. Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, PowerPoint, and Excel. High level of emotional intelligence, professionalism, and situational awareness.
