Obstetric Clinical Nurse

Location: Tuba City, Arizona

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Flexible to days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Job Description: The Obstetric Clinical Nurse performs a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently to complete assignments. This role involves assisting physicians and midwives during examinations and procedures, as well as providing comprehensive, family-centered nursing care to mothers and babies during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Compliance with physician's orders, standards of care, and hospital policies is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to mothers and infants throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
• Assist in medical examinations and procedures under the guidance of physicians and midwives.
• Support individuals of all ages and their families in a diverse community.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have a valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any state of the United States.
• Minimum of 2 years of OB nursing experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications required:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Heart Association
• AWHONN Intermediate EFM Certification (required within six months of hire)
• AWHONN Advanced EFM Certification (required within six months of hire)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIH Stroke Scale (required within six months of hire)
• STABLE Certification (required within one year of hire)
• Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) (required within one year of hire)
