Join a thriving home health and hospice organization renowned for our work environment and our commitment to excellence. Serving the Houston metro area, we are seeking an entry level Billing Specialist to enhance our financial operations.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Resolve claim denials, rejections, and billing errors.
- Submit corrected claims and follow up with payers.
- Call payers for claim status, denial details, and payment issues.
- Assist with appeals, including documentation and follow-up.
- Post payments, adjustments, and approved write-offs.
- Review remits/EOBs and research payment issues.
- Maintain accounts and update billing records.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage.
Minimum Education & Experience Required:
- Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in medical billing.
- Preferred experience in home health or hospice billing, with a strong understanding of Medicare billing processes.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
