Registered Substance Use Disorder Counselor

Compassionate Certified Substance Use Counselor Needed! Position Overview The Substance Use Counselor will assist patients through medically‑assisted treatments and offer techniques for managing opioid use. The counselor conducts individual and group sessions to address crises and develop coping strategies. He/She evaluates progress and collaborates with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to achieve improved outcomes. Responsibilities Provide individual and group counseling services; conduct direct service hours at scheduled intervals and coordinate all services throughout treatment. Complete a bio‑psychosocial assessment. Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan. Develop after‑care and discharge plans. Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients. Perform additional duties as determined by supervisor. Qualifications Certified counselor in the State of California. Experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus; must demonstrate a positive, non‑judgmental, and accepting attitude toward the patient population. Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check. Salary Range Salary ranges from $29.76 to $32.76 per hour, based on experience, education, specialty, and training.
