Assistant Manager

Position Description An Assistant General Manager for a well-established, fast-paced coffeehouse who will assist the General Manager in overseeing the operations, management, and attaining sales goals of a corporate Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea. This is an entry level leadership opportunity. Strong candidates will be looking for personal career growth in the exciting category of specialty coffee and tea. Location Ann Arbor, MI Responsibilities Build sales through excellent product execution, guest service, and team management. Assist in managing and training the team to attain sales goals. Assist in the managing daily operations, guest service, training, product quality, merchandising, cleanliness, and food safety. Maintain Sweetwaters brand standards. Support GM in reviewing, preparing, and submitting orders, inventory, scheduling, and payroll. Support GM in marketing events. Requirements Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Enjoys working with people, able to multi-task, and enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment. Strong guest service skills, friendly, accurate, and efficient. Passionate about preparing excellent beverages, pastries, desserts, and savory foods. Strong work ethic, driven, and detail oriented. Fun attitude about work and life, loves to laugh, and desires to create a positive team environment. Flexible availability with a minimum of 30 hours/week. Required education: High school or equivalent. Able to use Microsoft Office Word and Excel. 2 years of supervisory or shift lead experience ServSafe certified preferred Advancement Opportunities General Management training for qualified candidates.
