We are expanding our highly regarded child and adolescent program and are seeking a skilled Child Psychologist specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Children (DBT-C) to join our clinical team.

Job Summary

As a DBT-C Child Psychologist, you will deliver specialized care to children, pre- adolescents, and their families facing mood and behavioral dysregulation. You will work closely with our established program directors to provide comprehensive DBT-C protocols, including individual therapy and parent training.

While anchoring or contributing to our DBT-C track is a key focus, this role offers diverse clinical opportunities. You are not restricted solely to DBT-C cases. We welcome and encourage you to maintain a diverse caseload and see any type of pediatric, adolescent, or adult patients that align with your clinical interests and expertise. To best serve our community and support our staff, we offer fully flexible virtual and in-person options for both our providers and clients. Clinicians have the autonomy to design a hybrid schedule that blends remote teletherapy with in-office sessions at our Northern Virginia or D.C. locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care: Conduct initial diagnostic assessments and provide individual, evidence-based DBT-C therapy tailored to children and adolescents.
• Diverse Caseload Management: Build and maintain a general therapy caseload featuring clinical populations and age groups of your choice alongside your DBT-C clients.
• Parent Collaboration: Facilitate parent consultation, coaching, and intensive parent training components built into the DBT-C framework.

Requirements:

Child Psychologist Qualifications

• Experience : Three (3) or more years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred, with a strong background in treating children and families.
• Licensure : Fully licensed (or immediately eligible for independent licensure) as a Psychologist in Virginia and/or Washington, D.C. PSYPACT.
• Specialized Training : Strong, documented training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with direct application to pediatric populations (DBT-C).
