Licensed Social Worker / Mental Health Clinician (1099)

Location: Queens, Bronx, or Brooklyn, NY (Work in Your Preferred Borough)
Pay:

• LMSW, LMFT, LMHC: $75/hour
• LCSW: $100/hour
  Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
  Caseload: Approximately 20 clients per month

We are a growing private psychotherapy practice specializing in services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. We are seeking compassionate licensed clinicians to provide in-home psychotherapy services throughout their preferred borough—Queens, the Bronx, or Brooklyn. You will only travel within the borough you choose.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, family, and caregiver counseling services
• Deliver evidence-based therapy tailored to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Collaborate with behavior analysts, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other providers
• Educate and support families and caregivers throughout the treatment process
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Complete clinical documentation and progress notes within required timeframes
• Maintain compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance documentation standards
• Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination
• Promote community inclusion and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities

Requirements

• Active New York State LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT license in good standing
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or a strong interest in this specialty
• Excellent clinical, communication, and documentation skills
• Knowledge of New York State psychotherapy regulations and ethical standards
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Justice Center Incident Management and Mandated Reporter certifications preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required
• Must be comfortable driving throughout your selected borough (Queens, Bronx, or Brooklyn) to provide in-home services
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a flexible caseload
