Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is located at a maternity care unit dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to mothers, newborns, and families. The role involves delivering high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn services, with opportunities to float to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) as needed. This position emphasizes patient safety, education, and positive birth experiences within a diverse urban setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 1 year of clinical experience in labor and delivery, postpartum care, baby care, antepartum care including antepartum monitoring, BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), fetal monitoring experience (certification not required)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with postpartum care, baby care, antepartum monitoring, fetal monitoring (preferably with experience other than certification)
• Float: Float to L&D and NICU may be required
• Additional Information: No holiday shifts required. This role serves a diverse urban patient population and involves caring for children, adults, and older adults from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. The position requires the ability to work nights and adapt to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
