Registered Nurse ICU

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions continuously to identify changes requiring intervention.
  
  
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies following hospital protocols and physician orders.
  
  
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop, implement, and update patient care plans.
  
  
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system.
  
  
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
  
  
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Hold a current Texas RN license with no restrictions.
  
  
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience.
  
  
• Maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech or comparable electronic documentation systems.
  
  
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
  
• Be able to work 7A-7:30P / 7P-7:30A shifts and float as required.
