IT Operations SpecialistLocation: On-site – Spring Valley area, Southwest Las Vegas, NVShifts: Contractors will initially work during the Day, Monday-Friday 10am-6:30pm. However, the shift will eventually transition to one of the four designated shifts.Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Operations Specialist to support our Technical Operations team within a dynamic and fast-paced Fusion Center environment. This role is based on-site in the Spring Valley area of Southwest Las Vegas and is instrumental in capturing, analyzing, and documenting key operational workflows and dependencies.Key Responsibilities:Shadow multiple operations team members to observe day-to-day workflows and system interactionsDocument processes, dependencies, bottlenecks, and pain points in current technical operationsWork closely with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights on end-to-end technical workflowsAssist in developing process improvement recommendations and operational documentationProvide technical feedback and support where appropriate, aligning with operational goalsCommunicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersRequired Qualifications:Strong analytical and documentation skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in an on-site, high-security environmentPrior experience in at least two of the following technical domains:Real-time technical operationsAdvanced TCP/IP networkingCellular networksAWS cloud computingKubernetesWindows workstation supportPreferred Qualifications:Experience in an operations center, NOC/SOC, or similar real-time support settingFamiliarity with network monitoring tools, cloud-based diagnostics, or infrastructure automationExperience interacting with DevOps or Infrastructure teams in a production environment5+ years of experienceWork Environment:This position is on-site at a secure facility in the Spring Valley area of Southwest Las Vegas. Must be able to pass background screening and comply with facility access requirements.
