Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Projected Start: July 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit serving a 43-bed floor with patient populations including respiratory conditions, sepsis, DKA, altered mental status, failure to thrive, and acute-on-chronic medical conditions
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
• Operate and manage equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, IV pumps, PCA pumps, epidural pumps, VAC dressings, and specialty beds
• Perform tracheostomy care and maintenance as required by patient acuity
• Float to other IMC-level or medical/surgical units of similar level of care based on unit need and nursing skill
• Document all patient care accurately using the facility's Epic EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Maine (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry or Intermediate Care nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated experience with tracheostomy care and telemetry strip interpretation
• Ventilator experience required for IMC-level assignments
• Completion of required facility onboarding education modules prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with IMC-level patient populations including respiratory failure and complex acute-on-chronic conditions
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Strong teamwork, flexibility, and patient-centered communication skills
