Job Summary Provides day-to-day office and administrative support for the NWCNHS STAR Center. Serves as the first point of contact for faculty, staff, students, and visitors, and provides a high level of customer service to internal and external contacts. Provides entry-level administrative and logistical support for simulation and laboratory sessions, didactic instruction, and American Heart Association (AHA) training and certification events. Assists in the day-to-day office operations of the STAR Center, including opening/closing front-office duties and maintaining a welcoming, organized environment for faculty, students, and visitors. Responds to inquiries from students, faculty, and community partners regarding STAR Center hours, simulation lab and classroom schedules, course logistics, and AHA course offerings. Assists in scheduling, set up and breakdown of simulation lab space, classrooms, and equipment for didactic sessions, skills labs, and simulation exercises, working under the direction of the simulation coordinators and education manager. Provides entry-level administrative support for AHA courses (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS) and other certification-based trainings, including registration and roster management, preparation of course materials and sign-in sheets, and tracking/distribution of completion cards or certificates under instructor direction. Composes and edits internal correspondence, event announcements, and course materials; assists with preparation of simulation scenario handouts, didactic materials, and AHA course packets. Photocopies and collates more complex materials. Assists with the coordination of larger STAR Center events, such as open houses, accreditation site visits, and community AHA training days. Assists in basic setup and breakdown logistics for scheduled simulation, lab, and didactic sessions at an entry level (e.g., staging supplies, printed materials, or AV equipment as directed by faculty or lab/simulation coordinators). Monitors basic office and classroom technology needs, assists with general technical issues, and requests IT or facilities assistance when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED and four (4) years office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Desired Qualifications Experience supporting academic or clinical simulation environments or comparable technical/educational settings. Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy/physiology. Experience working with audio/visual equipment.
