About the Company
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Estimator to join an established commercial general contractor. This is an opportunity for an estimator who enjoys being involved in the detail of projects rather than relying on a large estimating team.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Estimator who will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for commercial construction projects, typically $15M-$20M.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates for commercial construction projects, typically $15M-$20M.
- Review plans, specifications, scopes and subcontractor proposals.
- Lead the bidding and preconstruction process from initial pricing through final estimate.
- Develop and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships.
- Assist with value engineering, scope review and cost analysis.
- Work closely with project management and operations teams.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial estimating experience.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and pricing.
- Experience with multifamily, hospitality, medical office or general commercial projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of masonry, block and plank and precast construction.
- Must be self-sufficient, hands-on and comfortable working independently.
