**THE ROLE** **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** Possess competent knowledge of use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance. Ability to work with minimum supervision and understand verbal and written instructions. Performs other duties, tasks, or special assignments/projects as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Education and/or Experience** Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in maintenance and repair of HVAC in an industrial or commercial setting preferred. Minimum of three years' experience in the operation and maintenance of a public assembly, hotel, or other commercial facility. Experience in operating a forklift and aerial lift preferred, but willing to train.**Skills and Abilities** Working knowledge of major facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, security, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems. Ability to plan, organize, direct, and motivate maintenance staff activities. Proficiency with computer-controlled and building management systems (BMS) and other automated systems.Strong technical communication skills to support operation and maintenance of facility systems. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interact effectively with staff at all organizational levels, including management. Demonstrated customer service skills with professional demeanor, appearance, and work ethics.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to prepare routine reports and required correspondence.
