Job Location: This position will be located at 920 Wildwood Dr., Jefferson City, MO 65109. This position is integral to various grant support activities for the department, including processing grant awards, utilizing the state's financial system, and the grant database. The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay. Oversee daily process flow for divisional processing teams Work with various DHSS divisions to ensure consistent and accurate purchasing and payment processing Analyze payment requests utilizing federal, state, and departmental guidelines Approve various payment documents utilizing the state financial system Communicate effectively with and assist program team members Work hand in hand with team members to ensure data integrity Utilize Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Internet, and the state's financial system to complete duties Serve as back-up to other team members to ensure forward movement for the division Maintaining and updating grant files Assist with projects for the bureau in relation to process improvement Review tasks and recommend process improvements related to the position Provide training and guidance to new team members as needed Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed). Highly organized, proactive and possess strong analytical skills. Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exercise independence, judgment, and initiative in the performance of their duties. Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
