Store Counter Sales

Overview Tama, IA, USA — Full time position. We are looking for a NAPA Counter Sales Associate, the face of the retail store who helps customers with all automotive parts needs. A background in automotive parts is preferred; enthusiasm to learn more about automotive products is welcome. Responsibilities Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter or over the phone Use parts knowledge to assist other NAPA team members in answering customer questions Deliver outstanding customer care and positive interactions with store visitors Contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused store environment Welcome customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience Utilize technology (computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system) Qualifications Valid driver\'s license Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn all things auto parts High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school courses or degree preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment Strong listening skills and empathy for customers And if you have this, even better (not a deal breaker if you don\'t) Background or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, auto body/collision Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems Customer-centric attitude ASE certifications What\'s in it for you Competitive pay Outstanding health benefits and 401K Stable company with a family feel Opportunities for growth and internal promotion Training and ongoing development with support from leadership GPC conducts its business without regard to sex, race, creed, color, religion, marital status, national origin, citizenship status, age, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, disability, military status, status as a veteran, or any other protected characteristic.
