AGUIRRE & ASSOCIATES is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing multidisciplinary engineering team. As an Electrical Engineer/Designer, you will play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of projects while collaborating with experienced Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection professionals. What You’ll Do: Design electrical systems for new construction, renovations, and facility improvements. Prepare construction documents, technical specifications, reports, and engineering calculations. Design power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems. Develop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, and electrical details. Coordinate designs with architects and other engineering disciplines. Participate in project meetings with clients, owners, and design teams. Perform field investigations and site visits as required. Ensure compliance with the Florida Building Code (FBC), NEC, NFPA, ANSI, SREF, and other applicable codes and standards. Perform quality control reviews of engineering documents. Manage multiple projects while meeting budgets, schedules, and client expectations. Support project managers throughout design and construction. What We are Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience in building systems electrical design Strong knowledge of commercial electrical building system Experience preparing construction documents for MEP projects Working knowledge of: Florida Building Code (FBC), National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA Standards, ANSI Standards Proficient inAutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Microsoft Office Suite, and experienced withTrane TraceandNewforma. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent organization, time management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or ability to obtain. Experience with healthcare, aviation, educational, or government facilities.
