Senior Staff Accountant

AllSouth Federal Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Accounting and plays an important role in supporting the Credit Union's accounting, finance, and reporting functions.

The Senior Accountant will assist with a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including account reconciliations, accounts payable review, month-end close activities, and support for regulatory reporting. This role will also contribute to finance-related responsibilities and special projects, offering the opportunity to be involved in multiple areas of accounting and financial operations.

The ideal candidate is a proactive accounting professional who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working across a variety of tasks and priorities. This position is well suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, analyzing financial information, and contributing to the continued success of the Accounting and Finance functions.


Qualifications

A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• At least three years of accounting experience, preferably within a financial institution.
• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Strong general ledger experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The minimum starting compensation for this position is $70,000 per year.
