This position is an opportunity to build a career in municipal planning while helping shape the growth and development of Jonesboro. The Planner I assists with development applications, conditional use projects, subdivision plats, variances, zoning compliance, planning research, and coordination with City departments and boards. What you'll do Assist with development and zoning applications Review subdivision plats and planning projects Conduct research and analyze planning data Assist with inspections and zoning certificates Work with citizens, developers, City departments, and planning boards Support the City's ongoing planning and development efforts What we're looking for A motivated individual with a high school diploma or GED, specialized education or training, and related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
