Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,871–$2,939 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 hours Contract duration: weeks Shift: 4x12 Nights Start date: 09/21/2026 Unit setting: PCU/Med-Surg/Tele with Certified Stroke Center designation in a hospital setting Orientation: 16 hours Responsibilities Provide RN care for patients on a PCU/Med-Surg/Tele unit with a mix of cardiac, respiratory (including COVID), infectious disease, endocrine, pre/post-op, and CVA patients Initiate and manage IV access and provide IV therapy, including peripheral, PICC, and port care Monitor dysrhythmias and respond to arrhythmia events; perform rhythm recognition and appropriate interventions Utilize non-invasive respiratory support such as high-flow nasal cannula and BiPAP/CPAP as prescribed Assist with chest tube and tracheostomy care; wound care and wound VAC management as needed Administer blood products and follow IV insulin/heparin protocols; participate in post-MI and CVA/stroke care planning Coordinate with PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Unit Secretary to support interdisciplinary care and patient transitions Maintain accurate charting in EPIC; adhere to established protocols and care plans Requirements NY RN license in hand required to submit ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Minimum 1 year RN experience EPIC charting experience required (hard requirement) PCU training preferred; candidates may be PCU or Med-Surg/Tele Residency restriction: must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment; candidates within 75 miles are not accepted Benefits and Support Orientation: 16 hours Pre-approved time off: one shift per contract Float to sister units when needed to support staffing Dedicated assignment support from the staffing organization during the travel period PAY DISCLAIMER Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
