CNC Programmer

CNC ProgrammerThe CNC Programmer will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Haas CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components. This role requires expertise in G-code programming, CAD/CAM software, and hands-on machining experience. The ideal candidate will support production goals by optimizing machine performance, ensuring quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathes.Optimize machine performance to meet production goals.Ensure quality standards are maintained.Collaborate with cross-functional teams.Train and mentor junior machinists.Essential Skills:Expertise in G-code programming.Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.Hands-on machining experience.Experience with 3-axis, 4th, and 5th axis Haas mills.Familiarity with industry standards and LEAN manufacturing practices.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG).Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM).Strong understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds, and tool selection.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T symbols.Experience with tight tolerances (e.g., ±0.0002") and high-precision parts.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree preferred.Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CNC programming and machining, specifically with Haas equipment.Work Environment:The role is based in a machine shop within a small to midsize, family-owned company. The environment is straightforward with minimal politics, offering straight shifts including 7-3p, 3-11p, and 11-7am.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bellefonte, PA.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
