Senior Data Architect

Senior Data Architect Windsor, CT (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data strategy, architecture design, and data platform modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and future-ready data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and digital transformation objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise-wide data architecture and solution design initiatives.Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define data strategy, roadmap, and governance frameworks.Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Drive cloud data platform adoption and modernization programs.Establish and promote best practices for data governance, metadata management, lineage, and master data management (MDM).Define enterprise data integration and ingestion architectures.Guide data engineering teams on architecture standards, design patterns, and implementation approaches.Conduct architecture reviews, stakeholder workshops, and technical assessments.Evaluate emerging technologies and create reference architectures and standards.Ensure data solutions comply with enterprise security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or related disciplines.Strong experience designing cloud-based data platforms on AWS, Azure, or GCP.Deep expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, and enterprise analytics architectures.Proven experience partnering directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.Strong knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.Hands-on experience with Spark, Databricks, Python, and SQL.Extensive experience with Snowflake architecture and implementation.Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and modern data ecosystems.Preferred QualificationsExperience with BigQuery and/or Amazon Redshift.Knowledge of event-driven architectures and real-time streaming platforms.Experience with modern data lakehouse architectures.Exposure to AI/ML data platform enablement.EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Key CompetenciesExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology solutions to business objectives.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to influence architecture decisions across cross-functional teams.
