Our values and participant focus lead the way no matter what.The Medical Assistant focuses on assisting the medical staff (providers, nurses, and on-site specialty care providers) in the provision of safe and efficient delivery of medical services at the WelbeHealth clinic. The Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and clinical duties such as scheduling medical appointments, greeting participants, filing medical records, taking and recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and maintaining equipment and supplies.This role is different because Medical Assistants at WelbeHealth:Engage in both clinical care and front-office interactions, fostering meaningful participant relationships while maintaining hands-on medical responsibilities, unlike traditional Medical Assistant positions focused solely on back-office or clinical workHave the time and support to provide quality care and build trust, balancing efficiency with connection, rather than rushing through high patient volumesWe care about our team members. That’s why we offer:Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days401K savings + matchComprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonusAnd additional benefits!On the day-to-day, you will:Prepare participants for appointments, including but not limited to setting up exam rooms, checking participants in and out, and obtaining an accurate history of illnessPerform required pre-exam physical tests, such as measuring and documenting participants' vital signsPerform general medical procedures, such as dressing changes and suture removals, as directed and under specific authorization and supervision of a physicianCollect and prepare laboratory specimens as ordered, and perform routine sterilization procedures of medical and dental equipmentMaintain clinic logs and ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, sanitized, and re-prepped at all timesJob requirements include:Certification by a medical assistant certifying organization approved by the state medical boardTwo (2) years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly populationTwo (2)-year degree program in medical assistancePhlebotomy experience requiredReliable means of transportationMust obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferredWe are seeking Medical Assistants that have phlebotomy experience.
