ER Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Our hospital is a 20-bed small-format facility located at 36 Robinhood Dr., Etters, PA 17319. Position Overview This position performs the primary functions of a nurse in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room. The RN works the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. Essential Job Functions Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient, age‑specific and developmentally/specialty appropriate nursing care to ensure the comfort and safety of patients/families. Complete accurate, concise and legible documentation on medical records. Observe and record signs, symptoms, and physiological status of patients. Propose revisions of interventions and desired outcomes. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Follow physician orders in the delivery of nursing care. Collect laboratory samples and perform testing in accordance with policies and CLIA regulations. Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures and aseptic techniques. Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures. Participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Assemble equipment and supplies for diagnostic or treatment procedures; assist others as required; handle care in accordance with legal and policy standards. Other Job Functions Perform all quality assessment activities assigned and document results. Attend staff meetings or other company‑sponsored or mandated meetings as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Associate’s Degree (required); BSN preferred. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions (required). At least 2 years full‑time RN experience in the ER or comparable experience (required). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (required); ENPC certification may substitute for PALS; TNCC preferred. Fluency in English with written and oral communication skills (required). Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 (Child Abuse History Clearance) and Act 73 (FBI Fingerprint Criminal History Clearance) completed within the last 5 years or obtained prior to start date.
