Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• 37-bed Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:9 on all shifts
• Patient population is primarily elderly with respiratory, cardiac, GI, and neuro diagnoses, with potential ortho overflow
• Unit uses a Care Delivery Model with care teams of 1 RN, 1 LPN, and 1 PCT for up to 9 patients, and modified teams when needed
• Floating required to other Med/Surg units
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per month
• Epic EMR preferred

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Scrub colors limited to navy blue and white, or any combination of the two
• Call-off allowance limited to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment
