What You'll Do As a Design Consultant, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients from inspiration to installation. Design & Client Experience Guide clients through luxury furnishing selections and design decisions Lead showroom consultations, house calls, and full-space planning Recommend layouts, colors, fabrics, and product combinations Deliver a high-touch, personalized customer experience Build long‑term relationships and referral opportunities Sales & Project Leadership Manage projects from consultation through delivery and follow‑up Maintain strong communication during custom order timelines Track open orders and ensure exceptional follow‑through Work toward annual sales goals and team performance milestones Showroom & Team Support Maintain an inspiring, organized design environment Support merchandising updates and showroom refreshes Assist with white glove deliveries and installation coordination Collaborate closely with leadership and fellow consultants What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who naturally blends design confidence, relationship-building, and sales excellence. Required Qualifications Experience in interior design, luxury furnishings, or related design industry Retail, consultative sales, or client‑facing experience Strong communication and relationship‑building skills Strong organizational and follow‑up abilities Valid Driver's License Ability to travel locally for house calls (typically within 30 miles) Preferred Backgrounds Interior Design Home furnishings Luxury retail Merchandising or textiles Lifestyle, fashion, or premium customer experience environments Who Thrives Here Positive, warm, and people‑oriented Confident making design recommendations Comfortable guiding high‑value purchasing decisions Naturally detail‑oriented and highly organized Socially engaged and relationship‑driven Passionate about beautiful spaces, luxury products, and elevated experiences Comfortable balancing design, sales, follow‑up, and operations Compensation & Benefits $22–$24/hour base pay Monthly performance bonus opportunities Team sales incentive program Mileage reimbursement for house calls Strong established showroom traffic and referral business Growth opportunity within a respected luxury brand environment Typical year-one earnings potential: $60,000–$70,000+ Schedule Full-Time | On-Site Located in Westport Village at 1321 Herr Lane, #160, Louisville, KY 40222 Monday–Friday: 9:30 AM–6:00 PM Two Saturdays per month: 9:30 AM–5:00 PM (Alternate weekday off provided) Sunday by appointments only.
