Position Summary: Responsible for provision of comprehensive Naturopathic primary medical care, in an ambulatory clinic setting. Compensation is dependent on skills and experience. - A Provision of comprehensive naturopathic primary care services in a primary medical care ambulatory clinic working independently and interdependently with other HealthPoint providers.
- Provide consultation to other clinic providers either in person or by telephone.
- Consult with clinic physicians, specialists, or other health care professionals as appropriate.
- Assists patient needs for medical or specialty referrals and diagnostic care. Make appropriate referrals for service.
- Assist with meeting clinic patient care team productivity and quality care standards.
- Participate in development and utilization of HealthPoint practice guidelines and procedures.
- Participate in audits, and meet standards of HealthPoint Quality Improvement and Risk Management and Utilization Management programs.
- Responsible for accurate, timely and complete documentation in patient records and superbills.
- Participate in patient triage system.
- Perform minor outpatient procedures in accordance with the scope of practice and HealthPoint credentialing policy.
- Maintenance of credentials essential for practice, to include licensure, certification, society memberships and CME.
- Provide patients and family members with counseling and education regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and need for follow up as appropriate during each patient visit. Verify and document that the patient understands diagnosis, treatment and follow up recommendations.
- Dispense medications from onsite dispensary in accordance with HealthPoint and State of Washington Pharmacy Board policies.
- Precept students from Bastyr University and supervise ND Residents.
- Maintain good attendance, is punctual and works full scheduled shift is a condition of employment.
- Demonstrate respectful, professional and appropriate behavior that supports a team-oriented work environment.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of HealthPoint and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and respect into appropriate programs and services.
- Attend staff meetings, in-service meetings and participate in agency committees and task force activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Graduate from an accredited school of naturopathic medicine.
- One (1) year or more of residency experience strongly preferred.
- Washington State naturopathic physician license.
- Demonstrated operating knowledge of computers. Intermediate level ability with Word, Outlook and other required software programs.
- If you are providing immunizations from an electronic health record, please ensure that you obtain a copy of your full records rather than a screenshot. Each page of your records should include your first and last name, date of birth, and the name of the health system from which the records are pulled.
- If records do not show any data, please seek guidance from your provider for further assistance.
- If you are unable to provide proof as noted above, you can choose to have a lab titer drawn to check immunity or to be re-vaccinated. If you receive vaccination(s) or lab titers, you may obtain them through HealthPoint at no cost to you. This is a great opportunity to get your immunization record up to date at no additional expense.
