Purchasing AssistantLocation: Buda, TX Company: United Service Technologies, a Tech24 company Employment Type: Full-Time (Non-Exempt)Job SummaryThe Purchasing Assistant supports the purchasing, inventory, and administrative functions of our commercial kitchen equipment repair operations. This role assists with ordering parts, maintaining accurate records, supporting multiple departments, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, entry-level professional who is a team player, able to take direction, and thrive within well-established processes.Responsibilities:Assist with purchasing commercial kitchen equipment parts, tools, and suppliesCreate, process, and track purchase ordersCommunicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and order statusTrack and follow up on open orders to ensure timely deliveryReceive and verify incoming shipments; resolve discrepancies or damaged itemsMaintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and vendor recordsSupport inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and reorderingCoordinate with service technicians and operations staff to prioritize urgent parts needsAssist with vendor setup, documentation, and invoice reconciliationPerform data entry with a high level of accuracyAssist with general administrative duties as needed to support the company's successProvide administrative support to other departments, including dispatching, estimates, and customer careAssist with special projects and operational tasks as assignedQualifications:High school diploma/GED or the equivalentMinimum of 3 years' experience in purchasingKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the purchasing field.Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skillsAptitude to clarify assigned tasks and expectations and then work independently to complete assignmentsBenefits:Top pay for experienceFull benefit package including medical, vision, and dental insurancePaid vacation, sick days and holidays401(k) retirement savings planTech24 is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
