Community Manager

Ernest is Western North Carolina's e-commerce business hub. We're a co-warehousing space (kind of like co-working, but for warehouses), a boutique fulfillment and 3PL center, and a trade show logistics team, all under one roof in Asheville. We help product-based businesses get out of the garage and into a real operation, without losing the scrappy, human attention that got them there in the first place. We're a small, third-generation, woman-owned team with a high trust factor. Our core values: integrity, initiative, community, and customer focus. About the Role We're looking for a person who makes Ernest feel like Ernest. This role is first and foremost about people: a genuine gift for connecting with them, sharp organizational instincts, and the follow-through to keep the wheels turning day to day. You'll be the face our members see when they walk in, the person who knows their names and their businesses, and the glue between our warehouse, fulfillment, and admin teams. Social media is part of the job, but it's a supporting piece, not the focus. The real work happens in the building. This is a Monday through Friday, in-person role based at our Asheville hub, 135 Sweeten Creek Rd. From time to time, we host events outside normal hours (evenings or weekends), and you'll be part of those too. What You'll Do Member Experience & Community Be the first face members and visitors see, know their names, their businesses, and what they need Give tours and walk prospective members through what Ernest offers and how it fits their business Own the onboarding experience for new customers, making sure they feel supported from day one Plan and run in-person events and programming that bring our members together Field member questions, requests, and feedback, and follow through until they're resolved Help members get set up and comfortable in our customer portal Build a deep understanding of our customer base and how we meet them where they are, so you can guide the people who walk through our door, not just recite a service list Administrative & Operations Keep the day-to-day of the space running: coffee brewing, supplies stocked, general comfort and function Handle administrative and customer support tasks as they come up Work closely with our warehouse, customer service, and leadership teams to keep everyone aligned Track member needs and space usage to help us keep improving what we offer Stay current on industry trends and what's happening with competitors, so we're never caught flat-footed Social Media Post updates and member highlights across our social channels Help capture the day-to-day moments worth sharing (photos, quick stories) as they happen naturally in the space Respond to comments and messages in a timely, authentic way What You Bring Must-haves: A genuine people person, warm, attentive, and good at making people feel welcome Strong organizational and administrative skills, you keep track of details without being asked twice Comfortable wearing a lot of hats in a small, fast-moving team Curious, resourceful, and willing to jump in wherever the day needs you Clear, friendly written and verbal communication Nice-to-haves: Experience in a product-based business, e-commerce, logistics, or fulfillment Familiarity with CRM tools, email platforms, or social scheduling tools Event planning or hospitality experience $48,513.81 – $58,425.23/year 401(k) with matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Health savings account Paid time off Requires some physical activity and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
