- Exercise exclusive law enforcement jurisdiction responsible for the apprehension or detention of persons suspected or convicted of offenses against the criminal laws of the United States.
- Serve as a police patrol officer enforcing Federal criminal laws and the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) involving persons and property.
- Protect government property, materials and facilities against trespass, theft, fire, damage and espionage.
- Detain or arrest suspected or guilty persons.
- Collect and protect evidence, witnesses, victims, etc.
- Arrest persons committing or suspected of committing crimes on the installation.
- Patrol assigned area by vehicle or on foot to preserve the peace, prevent crime, and protect lives and property.
