CNC Machine Operator
Heat and Control
A CNC Machine Operator sets up, operates and monitors computer-controlled machines to produce parts from raw materials.
Working hours are 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM onsite in Galesburg, IL Duties and Responsibilities- Set up and run the CNC machines, load and unload raw materials and oversee the machines while they are running.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerance, using micrometers and height gauges.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD design.
- Calibrate and set up machines, including tool registers, compensation, and conditional switches.
- Perform maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and identify problems during productions runs.
- Maintain logs on production, machine actions, and quality checks.
- At least two years of experience with CNC machines, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge to ensure high quality parts and tight tolerances.
- Interpret technical drawings on blueprints.
- Proficient with measurements and calculations.
- Stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.
