AI Agent Engineer - AWS

Our client is seeking a seeking a hands‑on AI Engineer with strong experience building and deploying AI/GenAI solutions on AWS . The ideal candidate has real‑world experience building AI agents, LLM‑powered applications, and scalable cloud‑based systems , and is comfortable working across backend development, AI integration, and cloud deployment. This role is on a contractual‑basis, full‑time hours Mon‑Fri, on‑site in Houston, Texas, projected to be 6 months project duration MINIMUM plus possibility of extension. Key Responsibilities Design and build AI‑powered applications using modern LLM frameworks Develop and deploy AI agents and multi‑agent systems Implement RAG pipelines using vector databases and enterprise data sources Build scalable backend services and APIs for AI applications Deploy and manage applications on AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, etc.) Integrate AI solutions into existing enterprise systems and workflows Optimize performance, cost, and reliability of AI systems in production Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product, data, engineering) Required Qualifications Strong hands‑on programming in Python (preferred) or similar Proven experience building AI/GenAI applications (not just using APIs) Experience with: AI agents / agent‑based architectures RAG pipelines and vector databases Strong experience with AWS : Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EC2 , or similar Experience building microservices and APIs Preferred Qualifications AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect) are a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr PIXIE
