The Role McKnight International is seeking a Business Data Analyst – Power BI to support data analytics and reporting initiatives for a major aviation client at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). This role is responsible for designing and delivering data-driven insights that support operational performance, strategic decision-making, and program visibility. The position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions and dashboards. This position will begin as part-time with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and project needs. The individual hired will represent McKnight International while supporting project and program delivery efforts for the client in a fully remote capacity. Requirements Leadership Scope Support data analytics initiatives across multiple stakeholders and functional areas Contribute to reporting strategy, KPI development, and performance tracking Participate in recurring internal and client meetings to review insights, trends, and reporting outputs Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting deliverables Support continuous improvement of data processes and reporting capabilities Essential Job Functions Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI Build and optimize data models, including relationships, measures, and calculated fields using DAX Aggregate, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources Perform data extraction, cleansing, and validation to ensure data integrity Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and data solutions Develop automated reporting tools for real-time and scheduled insights Identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights through analysis Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting needs Present insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences Support data integration efforts with technical teams Maintain documentation for dashboards, data sources, and reporting logic Perform additional data and reporting-related duties as assigned Supplemental Functions Communicate effectively with stakeholders and client teams Apply analytical thinking to solve complex data challenges Support forecasting, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives Assist with process improvements related to data and reporting workflows Qualifications 4+ years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling and DAX Experience with SQL for querying and data transformation Experience working with large, complex, multi-source datasets Strong understanding of data visualization best practices Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Experience working in a remote, client-facing environment preferred Certifications & Education Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business, Statistics, or a related field required Equivalent education and experience may be considered Physical, Schedule & Eligibility Requirements Part-time schedule with potential to transition to full-time based on project needs Fully remote role; must reside in Maryland, Pennsylvania, or Delaware Authorization to work in the United States is required Ability to maintain consistent communication with client and internal teams Reliable internet and remote work setup required Annual base salary range: $85,000–$115,000 (full-time equivalent), based on experience and project requirements; compensation complies with applicable pay equity laws.
