Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Westwood, New Jersey.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/13/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 13, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with strong orthopedic circulating experience for a 13-week day shift assignment requiring 1 year of OR experience and Epic charting exposure.Details\n \n Operating Room unit within a hospital setting\n Day shift schedule, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM\n Circulates cases in orthopedics, spine, robotics, and general surgery\n Exposure to a wide range of surgical specialties including thoracic, urology, gynecology, ENT, plastics, podiatry, bariatrics, and robotics procedures\n Uses advanced equipment such as cell saver, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and Hana Table\n Robotic surgery systems used include Da Vinci Xi, Da Vinci SP, and Mako Surgical System\n Epic charting system used\n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (NJ State or Compact) required in hand at time of consideration\n BLS and ACLS certifications required\n Minimum 1 year of Operating Room RN experience required\n Strong orthopedic surgical experience required\n Epic charting experience required\n Experience circulating a broad range of surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, general, and robotic-assisted cases\n Additional Information\n \n Responsibilities include circulating in multiple surgical specialties with a strong emphasis on orthopedic and spine cases\n Familiarity with emergency management protocols including fire safety, code response, latex allergy, and malignant hyperthermia response\n Knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, universal protocol time-out procedures, and wound management expected\n First-time travelers are welcome to apply\n Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted\n Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler\n All requested time off must be submitted for consideration at time of application\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-757600.
