Physical Therapist I: Per Diem Late Afternoon, Evenings, MMC IP

Job Description Are you an experienced inpatient Physical Therapist looking for a per diem opportunity in a nationally recognized hospital? Atlantic Health is seeking a per diem Physical Therapist for the Inpatient PT Department at Morristown Medical Center to provide care on various weekdays in the evenings and for at least two weekend days per month. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large acute care facility and be a team player who delivers exceptional care to our patients. Principal Accountabilities Essential functions include patient evaluation; establishing plans of care and treatment programs; providing interventions; patient and family education; documenting interventions; and billing appropriately. Supports Lead Clinicians in competency development and implementation. Participates in the orientation of new staff members, serves as a clinical instructor for students, and exercises independent judgment of moderately complex cases with minimal to no supervision. Required Qualifications New Jersey License to practice Physical Therapy. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program. Must be able to provide safe patient handling during transitions, transfers, ambulation, stairs, and other activities. In the event of an unanticipated situation, must be able to safely lower the patient to the floor and may involve pushing, pulling, and/or carrying rehabilitation equipment and supplies. Preferred Qualifications Preference given to candidates with weekend and weekday availability. 2‑5 years of experience as a Physical Therapist and experience in acute care within a large academic medical setting.
