Helper for Cabinet Maker / Woodworker Shop Job Description: We are currently seeking a young, energetic, and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a Junior Cabinet Maker and Woodworker Helper. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in starting a career in woodworking and cabinet making. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced cabinet makers and woodworkers, assisting in various stages of the production process, and installation. Our project are mainly in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Responsibilities: Assist in the construction and assembly of custom cabinets and other woodwork projects. Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools under supervision. Help in maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Assist with the loading and unloading of materials and finished products. Assist with preparation and sanding wood product for finishing. Assist in on-site installations under the guidance of experienced installers. Perform other related duties as assigned to support our team. Must be punctual and organized. Must have 40h OSHA card. The physical requirements for a cabinet maker typically include: Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hand tools, operate woodworking machines, and assemble detailed components with precision. Strength and Stamina: Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials and equipment. Must be able to stand, crouch, and work in various positions for extended periods. Hand-Eye Coordination: Proficiency in handling tools and materials accurately to avoid waste and ensure safety. Vision: Good eyesight for detailed work, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Flexibility: Able to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs. Endurance: Capacity to undertake tasks requiring extended periods of physical activity.
