Role Description The Family Support Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Corydon, IN. This position supports children and their families by coordinating services, conducting intake assessments, and developing family‑focused plans that align with the Center’s educational and behavioral goals. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include meeting with families, providing guidance and advocacy, connecting them with appropriate community resources, and maintaining accurate case documentation. The Family Support Specialist collaborates closely with educators, counselors, and community agencies to promote positive social learning and skill development for children. The role also involves regular communication with caregivers, participation in team meetings, and contribution to program improvement efforts. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in Social Work and Social Services, supporting children, youth, and families. Background in Family Services and Case Management, including assessment, planning, and follow‑up. Experience with Community Outreach, building relationships with local organizations and service providers. Strong communication, active listening, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and maintain professional boundaries. Organizational and documentation skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality. Knowledge of trauma‑informed practices and youth development principles is beneficial.
