Role Description The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, ME. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of assigned clinical trials, including participant screening and enrollment, obtaining and documenting informed consent, and ensuring adherence to study protocols. The role includes managing study visits, collecting and entering data, maintaining regulatory and source documentation, and communicating with investigators, sponsors, and monitors. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee visit schedules, manage investigational product handling, monitor participant safety, and assist with query resolution and audit readiness. This role may also mentor junior coordinators, support process improvements, and contribute to the implementation of CTNx best practices across the site. Qualifications Demonstrated ability to obtain, document, and maintain informed consent in accordance with ethical and regulatory standards (Informed Consent). Experience interpreting and implementing clinical trial protocols, including visit schedules, procedures, and documentation requirements (Protocol). Strong foundation in clinical research principles, including study design, data collection, and regulatory requirements (Research). Substantial clinical research experience coordinating multi-center or complex trials in a healthcare or academic setting (Clinical Research Experience). Hands-on experience managing clinical trials from start-up through closeout, including monitoring compliance and supporting sponsor/CRO interactions (Clinical Trials). Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and applicable FDA and IRB regulations. Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with participants, investigators, and cross-functional teams. Proficiency with electronic data capture systems and basic office software; experience with CTMS platforms is beneficial. Ability to work on-site full time in Portland, ME and manage multiple studies simultaneously.
