PATIENT CARE TECH - ICU

Patient Care Technician – ICU (Per Diem, PRN) Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is seeking a qualified patient care technician to provide direct patient care in the ICU on a per diem, PRN basis. Responsibilities Assist the registered nurse under directed care in performing non‑invasive procedures. Perform direct patient care as documented in competency training. Assist the director in coordinating and maintaining unit par levels of supplies and equipment. Provide assistance with patient assistance and care procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months recent experience in a hospital, long‑term care, or medical setting. Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures. Patient Care Technician certification required or to be obtained within 6 months of start date. BLS certification from the American Heart Association required. Skills Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities.
