Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer with a strong emphasis on modern front-end development using React and TypeScript , combined with solid backend expertise in Java and Spring .

This role is approximately 60% Front End (React + TypeScript) and 40% Backend (Java + Spring) . The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of high-performance web applications, establish front-end engineering standards, and build scalable microservices and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex, customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript .

• Own front-end architecture, technical standards, and delivery strategy.

• Develop backend microservices and API contracts using Java and Spring .

• Build and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs using front-end friendly design patterns including pagination, filtering, caching, and standardized error handling.

• Partner with UX and Product teams to translate designs and business requirements into polished, scalable user experiences.

• Define and evolve front-end engineering standards including:

  • Component architecture

  • State management

  • Routing

  • Coding conventions

  • Testing practices

• Build reusable UI components using enterprise design systems and component libraries .

• Implement responsive layouts, theming, and cross-browser compatible user interfaces.

• Drive front-end performance improvements across:

  • Core Web Vitals

  • Bundle optimization

  • Rendering strategies

  • Caching

  • Runtime observability

• Build advanced UI features including:

  • Rich data visualization

  • Real-time updates

  • Complex forms and workflows

  • Offline-friendly patterns

• Implement secure client-side practices covering authentication flows, token handling, secure storage, and common web vulnerabilities.

• Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot for implementation, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and productivity improvements while ensuring code quality and security.

Required Qualifications

• 14+ years of professional software engineering experience .

• Significant hands-on experience in modern front-end web development .

• Proven experience leading engineering projects and mentoring development teams.

• Expert-level experience with React including:

  • Hooks

  • Component composition

  • Context API

  • Rendering behavior

  • Modern/concurrent React patterns

• Strong TypeScript expertise including:

  • Advanced typing

  • Generics

  • Strict type strategies

  • Types-as-design principles

• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot .

• Experience building scalable microservices and APIs .

• Strong experience with GraphQL and REST APIs .

• Deep knowledge of modern front-end tooling including:

  • Vite

  • Webpack

  • Babel / SWC

  • npm / pnpm / yarn

  • Build and release pipelines

• Strong CSS expertise including:

  • Responsive design

  • CSS Modules

  • CSS-in-JS

  • Utility CSS frameworks

  • Enterprise-scale theming and styling

• Strong testing experience with:

  • Jest / Vitest

  • React Testing Library

  • Playwright / Cypress

• Experience defining and owning front-end test strategy.

• Strong knowledge of accessibility standards including WCAG and ARIA .

• Experience with keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and accessibility testing.

• Strong front-end performance engineering expertise including:

  • Profiling

  • Bundle splitting

  • SSR vs. CSR trade-offs

  • Caching

  • Core Web Vitals optimization

• Strong API integration experience including schema-driven development, pagination, caching, state management, and error handling.

• Knowledge of web application security including:

  • XSS prevention

  • CSRF prevention

  • Secure authentication/session handling

  • Dependency security

  • OIDC concepts

• Experience with front-end observability including logging, metrics, error reporting, and production debugging.

Mandatory Skill

• Hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted software engineering tools , such as:

  • Claude Code

  • GitHub Copilot

• Candidates should demonstrate practical usage of AI tools for coding, refactoring, testing, and debugging while following secure development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Next.js or Remix and SSR-based application development.

• Understanding of SEO considerations for modern web applications.

• Experience with Storybook, design tokens, and enterprise design systems .

• Experience with micro-frontends and module federation .

• Experience building rich user interfaces using:

  • D3

  • Canvas / WebGL

  • Advanced data grids

  • Animation libraries

• Familiarity with OAuth2, OIDC, and enterprise SSO integrations.

• Proven experience modernizing legacy front-end platforms and improving developer experience.

• Experience with monorepo architectures is a plus.
